The 9th Xiamen International Stone Fair in 2009
The Xiamen International Stone Fair will be held from 6th-9th March at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Center. The professional stone fair has become the second largest in the world and the largest in Asia.
According to confirmed information, the exhibition will cover an area of 95,000 square metres, an increase of 5,000 square metres compared with that of the 2009 exhibition. The number of exhibition booths will reach 5,200, an increase of 200 booths compared with that of the 2009 exhibition.
The scale of the 2010 Xiamen International Stone Fair has surpassed that of the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), and continues to be the world‘s second largest professional stone fair.
The Xiamen International Stone Fair has become a professional platform for purchasing stones in Pan Pacific areas. It‘s estimated that over 1,300 enterprises from over 150 countries will attend the exhibition, involving 16,000 international businessmen with an increase of 20%, according to Mr. Xiong Yanliang, Head of the Xiamen Municipal Trade Development Bureau.
At the same time, there will be a series of coordinated activities, like the World Stone Congress, Cross-Straits Stone Industry Meeting and Sino-Japanese Stone Consultative Conference.
Statistics show that Xiamen has become China‘s largest stone import and export port, and its total import and export volume has topped China for successive years.
