Mr. Liu, a philanthropist from Xu Zhou in Jiangsu Province, visited Xiamen a few months ago and stayed at the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen. In the guestrooms, he came cross  the book <Jingsi Aphorisms> which was placed in guest room of the hotel. Upon review, Mr. Liu  was deeply touched by the message  in the book, and immediately went to Jingsi Bookstore to purchase the  collection. He further contacted the Tzu Chi Foundation, the charity organization that produced the <Jingsi Aphorisms> expressing his desire to spread the message of generosity and selflessness from the teachings of this book to his home town in Xuzhou. He promised to create a center where interested parties can gather to learn and spread the message of <Jingsi Aphorisms>.

By providing this book to its guest, Millnennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen instrumental connecting Mr. Liu to the Tzu Chi Foundation and further spreading the message of Tzu Chi. Since that visit, Mr. Liu has been a loyal guest of Millennium Hotel.  In thanking him for his contribution, Tzu Chi‘s Da Ai TV Channel interviewed Mr. Liu at the Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen. The story started in 2010 when the General Manager of Millennium Harbourview Hotel Xiamen, Mr. Simon Jim read <Jingsi Aphorisms> and decided to place the book in the guestrooms to share with guests the profound message of the book. \Mr. Michael Chen, the Executive Assistant Manager, is also a volunteer of Tzu Chi was also eager to make this good book available to  more people. Their efforts really made a difference. Numerous guests experessed their enjoyment of the book and the idea of providing leisure reading in guestrooms. This thoughtful gesture enhanced their hotel stay.
