Xiamen to open direct flights to Melbourne, Vancouver & Seattle

After a major effort to promote cooperation with cities along the Maritime Silk Road, more international flights between Xiamen and cities in other countries will be added to Xiamen’s international air route network this year.

 
Currently, Xiamen has direct flights to Singapore, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Siem Reap, Seoul, Jeju Island, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Hanoi, Nice, and Sydney.
 
Three regular international direct flights are expected to be launched this year, including:
 
>> Xiamen-Melburne
>> Xiamen-Vancouver
>> Xiamen-Shenzhen-Seattle
 
And regular round-trip flights between Xiamen and Cebu will be put into operation starting from March 27th this year. The flights will be carried out by Xiamen Airlines. The city has also revealed a plan to promote flights to Bali and Ho Chi Minh City sometime this year.
 
At present, sixteen airlines are operating international and regional flights (Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) at Xiamen airport. Below is a list of the check-in and closure times for international and regional flights on airlines operating at Xiamen airport:

Thai Airways: 40 minutes
Air China: 30 minutes
Cathay Pacific: 40 minutes
Cebu Pacific: 45 minutes
China Southern Airlines: 30 minutes
Dragonair: 40 minutes
KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines: 60 minutes
Korean Air: 30 minutes
Malaysia Airlines: 40 minutes
Philippine Airlines: 45 minutes
Singapore SilkAir: 40 minutes
Taiwan Mandarin Airlines: 40 minutes
Taiwan TransAsia Airways: 40 minutes
Taiwan UNI Airways: 40 minutes
Xiamen Airlines: 45 minutes (starting from July 25, 2015)
